,USA and possibly other European Nations.
MOSCOW is a city of
rich culture and fascinating history. Teams
will have a tour of Moscow, and the Kremlin. The teams will
also visit the Moscow Circus and several museums as part of
the program.
THE ARENA
Tournament
games are played
approximately 20 minutes from the hotel.
A twin sheet, modern
arena with spacious locker rooms, pro shop, café, etc.
Practice and scrimmages are
played at the arena as well. Players and families
will have the opportunity to mingle with Russian players and
get a taste of the hockey environment which develops so many
superior hockey players.
CLIMATE
The weather in April is very
similar to the Chicago climate.
LANGUAGE
The
national language is Russian.
Fortunately, for us as visitors most of them can speak English
quite well. Hotel receptionists and restaurant servers almost
invariably speak English very well.
Each team will have two full
time translators with them as well.
CURRENCY
Rubles.
$1.00 US = approx 30 rubles.
PASSPORTS
All players and
traveling family members will need US passports for travel.
RUSSIA - Passport and visa required. Tourist visa requires
1 application form, 1 photo, confirmation and voucher from
travel agency and/or hotel in Russia, cover letter from travel
agency, and processing fee. Business visa requires 1
application, 1 photo, cover letter from your company, and
letter of an official invitation from an authorized Russian
counterpart and visa-processing fee. Visa processing fee for
business and tourist visas is $70 for 2 weeks, $80 for 1 week,
and $110 for less than 3 working days. Multiple-entry business
visa (needs confirmation through the Russian MFA) processing
fee is $200 to $450. Fees must be paid by money order or
cashier’s check only. Provide SASE for return of passport by
mail. HIV test certificate required for anyone staying over 3

ELECTRICITY
The
current used is 220 V/50 HZ Ac Sockets are the round two pin
type which are standard through most of continental Europe.

Ukraina Hotel, built in 1957 and reconstructed in 2002, is
located on the bank of the Moskva river within a short
distance from Novy Arbat

the main exhibition complex Expocentr. The
Hotel is in 5 minutes from the city centre near the
shopping area. Sightseeing: Expocentre Exhibition Centre
on Krasnaya Presnya, Residence of Russian Federation
Government (White House), Park Pobedy on Poklonnaya Gora.
Sheremetyevo-2 Airport - 40 minutes. Kievsky Railway
station - 10 minutes. Severny River terminal - 10 km. |
